5 top regions of Spain to visit

5 top regions of Spain!

Spain is a country full of beautiful beaches, many monuments and delicious cuisine! But where is the best to go and which region of Spain is worth visiting?? This is our TOP 5 places we recommend!

Andalusia

Andalusia region

Spain’s largest region is Andalusia. It is the land of sun and passionate flamenco dance! It is an ideal place for those who like to explore new places, combined with relaxation on the beach. While in Seville, you should visit the largest Gothic cathedral in the world and the beautiful Real Alcázar Palace Complex. Andalusia is also an ideal place for dance lovers, especially flamenco. In local tablaos we can admire the shows of the best dancers. The region is also famous for producing very good olive oil and excellent jamón ibérico ham.

Catalonia

Catalonia region

Another equally popular region is Catalonia with its capital Barcelona. The first thing we associate with this city is the architecture of Antonio Gaudi and the Sagrada Familia cathedral known to all. Catalonia offers its tourists the Costa Brava coast with numerous bays and beaches. While in this area, be sure to try the paamb tomàquet specialty, which is bread with tomato and olive oil!

Granada

Granada region

Granada is a region in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The obligatory point on the map of every tourist is the Alhambra. It is a palace complex with beautiful gardens of Generalife. It is also worth taking a walk around the Albaicín district, which is included in the UNESCO list. The city is famous for its unique tradition of serving free tapas to every ordered drink. A paradise for lovers of Spanish cuisine.

Valencia

Valencia region

I don’t know if you know, but it was in Valencia that paella was born – the most popular Spanish dish. Beautiful Mediterranean beaches and numerous monuments await us in this region. It is also worth coming here during the famous Las Fallas festival, when the city is filled with gigantic, artistic constructions.

Malaga

Malaga region

Finally, the last region recommended by us from the Costa del Sol coast – Malaga. Málaga is the hometown of Pablo Picasso and a place with the Moorish Alcazaba fortress and modern harbor. It is a region that attracts tourists with its numerous attractions all year round. When it comes to culinary specialties here, you must definitely try espetos – sardines roasted on bamboo sticks directly on the beach and fresh seafood!
